Painted Furniture...

I love the way you can take tired furniture and paint it, it gives you a fresh new look on something old. It can be passed on and enjoyed, it can breathe freshness into any room. We have 2 great sisters who have accomplished this with their unique finds. They are able to do what we only think about tackling those projects that we never get to. The Salvage Sistars have a unique and creative flare that make every piece of furniture special we have several new pieces that have just arrived a beautiful linen cabinet, dresser, several chairs, tables and bed frames. What a fantastic day!!!!

The sun is finally shining and Summer may finally be on our doorsteps!!! We have several new pieces coming in from tin lamps to linens and several decorative items...can hardly wait till the Salvage Sistars bring in more of their fantastic creations!!! Found out this week I am able to start radiation on the 19th of this month, so looking forward to having this finally behind me. Planning to attend several auctions and yard sales this summer, I wonder what treasures will find??? Keep reading to find out what we've uncovered in our finds...

What's been going on....

So sorry it's been too long, just went through one of the toughest moments of my life you see I went for a routine mammogram in August 2010 and was called back for a second plus an ultrasound, from there I had a stereotactic biopsy with a surgery scheduled right behind to prevent any changes from becoming positive. Unfortunately, it was already too late and I had to go back in for surgery 4 weeks later to have a partial mastectomy done it's been 7weeks now and I'm still healing but I will be starting radiation soon, and now that I know what to expect and I can now move forward and make plans for the shoppe,  *NOTE* please go for your annual mammogram and do your breast exams it is so important it saved my life....I've promised myself that I would stay on top of this blog....So Spring has sprung and things are starting to happen at Not Just Country we have 3 antique dealers that will bringing in new pieces every other week, and we'd like to welcome the Salvage Sistars who have agree to bring in their wonderful stuff everything from painted window frames to re-purposing old cabinets and making them into show stopping one of a kind pieces plus we have new inventory coming in steady. I hope everybody had a great Easter weekend and looking forward to long summer days....

Twitter!!!!!

So I promised myself that I would stay on top of our Blog, and so far I'm trying to keep that promise...We finally got ourselves straight on Twitter so please follow us @NotJustCountry we have tweeted on twitter that we our looking to do some promotional golf shirts for our valued customers, but we have yet to announce that we are considering doing a summer bbq as well. With orders placed and slowly starting to arrive by the beginning of March, we can look forward to Spring around the corner where we can start getting our eggs all stacked  in place..ha ha (Easter!!), we look forward to offering Timothy's Coffee, Buttertarts, Gourmet Cookies and a fantastic line of Gourmet Candy again!!!

Where did the time go????

Sorry Guys, it's been awhile...Christmas has come and gone, and it was great at Not Just Country, now were into a New Year. With Spring just around the corner, and all our orders that were placed at the recent Gift Show and our Antique dealers coming in with new finds we have so much to look forward too. We can hardly wait for the new products to arrive, we've got linens, candles, clocks, stars, mirrors and so much more. I just love shopping for the store and being able create new displays and ideas for our customers!!!!! See you soon....

Christmas is on it's way....

So it's been awhile...Halloween has past and now were onto our final holiday for the year, Christmas is such a great time to celebrate with family and friends. Here at Not Just Country we have pulled out all our Christmas inventory and laid it out throughout the store. We have hand made snowman, stockings and pillows arriving soon....winter greens will  be planted into urns and window boxes, now if I can only get someone to put up the lights we'll be ready!!!
